TL;DR:

CommmSec cost me $900 by suspended my account for no reason, so I was unable to write my latest series of calls.

Full version:

I still have some accounts with ComSec. I don't want to use them, but because I run my own retirement trust fund, and my accountant wants to use them, I use them only on that account to make it easier to do taxes.

I had a margin loan with them in a normal joint account which I had reduced to a zero balance (I moved everything to IB). I wanted to close the margin loan, and because I was listed as a trustee, they suspended everything in the trust accounts too.

That's like suspending your friend's back account, because you want to close one of your own accounts, and you're listed as his friend!!

The accounts are in different names! I mean seriously?! What the?

So why am I even talking about this.....

They didn't even tell me they were going to suspend those accounts.... I found out only because I went to write some calls on shares in that account, and received a rude message saying the account has been suspended. Two days later, the account is no longer suspended.. and the opportunity to write $900 worth of calls with it. Currently I can get about $400, so I'm not going to bother.
