Well, stats for the year are in. Lets look at the trading numbers for the last year... 13 trades completed - 12 wins, 1 loss. There were actually 15 trades opened, but two close in the next FY, so not included here. For each trade, the capital at risk was $92k on average. This is mostly because of the cash secured puts. For example the -5 Tesla 175 puts, required me to have $130k available, in case the puts were exercised. But overall, each position averaged to $92k across the 13 trades. Total return was almost $38k which is about 40% return on that average position. To be honest though, this is not really the best measurement. We should be looking at overall account size. The above calculation works if you are using your whole account for each trade, which would not be a good idea. (But I margined quite a few of those trades, so didn't need the cash sitting in the account, had it in other shares instead) So my account started the year at just over $120k, and we added $38k to get it to $160k which equates to about a 32% return which I'm pretty happy with. Other interesting stats: Trades are open on average for 35 days Trade average return is 3.2%
